Castro as an Overcast Replacement

Chris Hannah:

As new episodes continually appeared in the Inbox, I found it rather easy to sort through them, and pick out the episodes I wanted to listen to. It seems strange, but this feature alone made me listen to many more podcasts.

Interestingly enough, I downloaded Castro a couple of weeks ago and mostly agree with Chris’ assessment. Castro puts a lot of attention into the Queue which helps you organize the episodes you want to listen to.

For Chris, Castro not being a universal app seems to be a deal breaker, but it’s not an issue for me. I’d love a Mac app, but I’ve given up hope that podcast apps will offer one.

I’m enjoying Castro and would recommend you give it a try. If you’re on the default podcasts app or even Overcast, Castro is an upgrade.
